Mike Edmund-Jones

Hi, I'm Mike. I'm a 28 year old freelance web developer based in Brighton. I have 7 years experience working for a digital agency and in-house at a fintech company.

During my time working in London at Nutmeg Savings and Investments, I worked as an engineer within the design team. I was primarily responsible for maintaining the Nutmeg marketing site; working with different teams, I developed microsites, landing pages, data captures and marketing components for our products. My role involved contributing to the React applications and design system, whilst also being involved in design sprints, user interviews and product planning.

Whilst working at The Unit in Brighton, I worked with global companies and brands including: Post Office, EDF Energy, Co-operative, Fidelity, Neilson Active Holidays. My key responsibilities included front and back end development, leading development on projects and ensuring quality output. Working in an Agile environment, I worked alongside with project managers to help plan sprints, estimate timings and review project performance. During my time there I was key to delivering a variety of solutions including: CMS developement (Wordpress, CraftCMS), front end development, JavaScript (Vanilla, React, Angular 4), rapid prototyping and responsive email campaigns.
